The ASIA-PACIFIC SPACE DESIGNERS INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT(APSDA 2010 Beijing) will be held in Beijing in this October.

JIA Magazine of July 2010 issue, published by The Japan Institute of Architects, has introduced Matsubara’s lecture that was held on May 11th, 2010. The chairman of JIA’s Kanto and Koshinetsu district, Takeo Muraji, reports about “building architecture outside of Japan – the practices in China and Congo” with the title of “The Proactive Passive Attitude by Hironori Matsubara”. Matsubara has posted his comment called “To Reject”, on “the Heart of Toyo Ito narrated by 50 People” for “NA Architecture series 01 Toyo Ito”, volume April 26, 2010 (issued by Nikkei BP net, Nikkei Architecture edition). This book has re-edited the past columns mainly from Nikkei Architecture about Toyo Ito’s career as an architect. Many newly written novels and interviews are written on this book. This book let us understand the architect from various views with beautiful pictures. Please read through this book.

Chinese architectural newspaper, “Zhonghua Jianzhu Bao” of volume April 10th, 2010 has introduced a full page of DR Congo, Acadex Elementary School, which Matsubara Laboratory has been developing for over time. His interview has also been introduced on another full page of the newspaper. The Matsubara’s Chinese interview is also posted as the video on their homepage web site.
